Monday Morning Massacre

Debacle in Detroit!

Now we know why they call them Stealers. The officials should have deserved the MVP instead of Hines Ward. I even saw Stevie Wonder arguing over Roethlisberger’s attempt at the end zone. I refuse to call it a touchdown. We all know it wasn’t. I understand that the refs may have feared for their lives. Would you want to meet Joey Porter in a dark alley? Hell, I wouldn’t even want to meet him on a well-lit street. Plus, 90% of the attendees in the arena were either Steelers’ fans or jock supporters. (Pun intended) But honestly, I think they were handing out Terrible Towels with the purchase of a beer and jerseys every time the ref made an incorrect call. I think I even saw a ref throw a terrible towel instead of a penalty flag. Prior to the game, Holmgren showed his team $129,000 in singles on a table. Maybe he should have pulled a Cowher, and showed it to the refs.

Now, was it just me, or were all the commercials showing the Steelers’ players holding the Lombardi Trophy before the game was even over? I thought my TV was on game delay, and everyone knew something I didn’t. Freudian slip? I think otherwise. Strangely enough, I have been accused in the past of being some sort of “conspiracy theorist”, so I refuse to state the obvious. I’ve heard of many a folk being robbed in Detroit, but no one has been robbed more than the Seattle Seahawks. But I digress.

6 months until preseason. GO BROWNS!!!
