Week 5

Detroit at Atlanta - Atlanta (4-0) looks pretty good despite playing a bunch of sub-par scrubs this season. Detroit had a chance to regroup after losing to Philly in Week 3. Unfortunately, they are coming into a game against a red hot Falcons team.
Miami at New England - Ricky or no Ricky? Who really cares? Even if he decides to come back just to avoid paying back the money, it won't stop Wannstedt from losing his job after the year is over. The Pats had an easy one over the Bills. They'll have another easy one this week.
Tampa Bay at New Orleans - Chris Simms has the go ahead to start this week. Tampa Bay is really grasping for straws now. Looks like they will come up short again this week. The Saints have to bounce back from a very disappointing loss to the Cardinals. Deuce is listed as questionable, but unlikely to play against a terrible Bucs team.
Cleveland at Pittsburgh - GO BROWNS!!! The first game between these longtime rivals opens in Heinz Field. Roethlisberger has looked pretty good in his last two starts. Mind you, they were against Cincy and Miami. The Steelers struggled early against the Bengals, but 2 touchdowns late in the 4th sealed their victory. They'll have to come out blazing in order to beat Cleveland.
Minnesota at Houston - Houston is coming off of a 2-game winning streak. Ex-Buckeye Jonathan Wells, who has been missing in action for the last 2 years, seems to be what the Texans need right now. Texans' defense has scored in the past two games. Their defense will have their work cut out for them to try to contain Culpepper and Moss.
NY Giants at Dallas - The Giants are 3-1?!? How long can Kurt keep this up? His luck should be running out soon. Tiki rushed for 182 yards with 1 TD last week against the Packers. Dallas had a bye last week. This means the Cowboys had 2 straight weeks of hearing Tuna yell about something they did wrong in the win over Washington on MNF. I'll take a rested Dallas over a lucky NY any day.
Oakland at Indianapolis - Oakland only managed to play the first half in their loss against Houston last week. Indy plays a more consistent game, but exceptionally well in the second half. One casualty of the team's second loss may be Jerry Rice. In an effort to get younger, they have decided to try to move Rice. Good luck with that! Any team that Rice plays for will boost the average age automatically up to 93 yrs. old.
Jacksonville at San Diego - The Chargers completely destroyed a banged up Titans team last week. Brees actually found 3 different receivers for touchdowns. I didn't think Brees could even pick his WRs out of a lineup. I know the majority of us couldn't. It was a fluke. Jags were 3-0 going into last week's game against Indy. They'll bounce back to beat the Chargers.
Buffalo at NY Jets - Jets are 3-0, while the Bills are 0-3. Dreadsoe just can't seem to get it done. Another loss to the Pats last week cemented this fact. Maybe we'll finally get a chance to see McGahee get some substantial PT.
Arizona at San Francisco - The Cards over the Saints by the score of 34-10?!? I thought I was in Bizarro world. Even Emmitt threw a TD. There had to be a full moon or something going on that day. I'll take them over an underachieving Niners team all day long. Fortunately for the Niners, The Ratt is back. This may slow the bleeding down a little.
St. Louis at Seattle - Marshall actually had 100+ yards on the ground last week. It's been a long time coming. It wasn't a big thing, especially against a Niners defense. The Rams will go back to their game plan with throwing Faulk more balls than handoffs. Alexander will run the ball down the Rams throats. It should be a close game, but will boil down to controlling the ball by means of the running game.
Carolina at Denver - Jake will have to carry this team this week. Quentin Griffin is listed as questionable with a bum ankle. Look for Tatum Bell to have most of the carries this week. Carolina doesn't look like the same team from last year. Injuries have hurt them mainly on offense. Their defense just stinks. Stephen Davis may make a return this week though.
Baltimore at Washington - Battle of the Beltway. Coming off a huge loss to the Browns last week, Gibbs and the Skins will bounce back with a win over the Ravens. The Jail Birds lost to KC on MNF because their QB can't manage to stay on the field for more than 3 plays at a time. Ravens defense were on the field for nearly 40 minutes. Unacceptable! Washington will control the clock this week too. As long as Mark "Miracle Ear" Brunell can hear the plays.
Tennessee at Green Bay - Favre will play! But will McNair play? This is the Ironman Bowl. Both QBs manage to play despite injuries or numerous outside factors that may cause the average player to miss some time. Always bet on Favre on Monday night.

GAME OF THE WEEK: Cleveland vs. Pittsburgh
