Week 2

ST. LOUIS AT ATLANTA - The Falcons squeaked out a win last week over the Niners despite allowing 13 of their 19 points in the 4th quarter. Defense must realize the game is played for 4 quarters and not only 3. They have their work cut out for them against this high-powered offense.
PITTSBURGH AT BALTIMORE - Just when you think the wheels on "The Bus" were rusted, Bettis comes out and rushes for 3 TDs against the Raiders. They have finally found a role for Jerome Bettis as a red zone RB. Duce does not have to worry about his job. The Bus only had 3 yards of offense, all of which resulted in TDs.
HOUSTON AT DETROIT - Unfortunately, Charles Rogers is out for the season. Luckily, Harrington still has Streets, Hakim, and rookie standout WR Roy Williams as deep targets. The Texans defense allowed Drew Brees to have his best outing since college. Brees threw over 200 yards with 2 touchdowns. Just imagine how much they will give up this week.
CHICAGO AT GREEN BAY - Ahman Green lit up the defending NFC Champs last week on Monday night scoring all 3 TDs. Look for a repeat performance this week. The Bears do not have enough talent on defense to stop Favre and Ahman in Lambeau field.
DENVER AT JACKSONVILLE - Portis who? Quentin Griffin ran like a man possessed last week against the Chiefs. Couple that with Jake throwing 2 touchdowns, made for a long day against that horrible Chiefs D. The Jags lucked up on a last second win against the Bills last week. They'll need more than luck to get past Denver.
CAROLINA AT KANSAS CITY - I hope Monday night was a wake-up call for the Panthers defense. Offensively, Delhomme did all you could ask for in a quarterback. Panthers never established a running game. Foster and Davis combined for a total of 38 yards on the ground. Unacceptable! With WR Steve Smith out with a broken fibula, they have to perform at the top of their game this week.
SAN FRANCISCO AT NEW ORLEANS - What happened to the Saints last week? Shaun Alexander is what happened. They couldn't stop the run. Barlow will try to test this front 7. With QB Dorsey probably seeing some playing time, the Niners may have already given up. Saints can stuff the box and play single coverage on WRs Lloyd and Wilson.
WASHINGTON AT NEW YORK GIANTS - I can't believe it! Kurt Warner actually went a whole game without throwing one INT, but did fumble twice. You know he can't go an entire game without at least one turnover. He might not want to make those mistakes this week. Arrington will have his team charged up and ready to go.
INDIANAPOLIS AT TENNESSEE - With the loss of Doss, look for McNair to attack the secondary. Chris Brown is listed as probable, but expected to play. Indy played a great game against the Pats last week, but just couldn't finish the job. Poor play calling cost them the game--again.
SEATTLE AT TAMPA BAY - The Bucs looked truly pathetic against the 'Skins last week. This does not look like a team who has recently won a Super Bowl. They couldn't seem to get into a flow. Seahawks, on the other hand, handed the Saints on their own field. It will happen in Tampa also.
NEW ENGLAND AT ARIZONA - The Pats managed to outlast Indy due to a missed FG by Vanderjagt. They won't have to work that hard this week. When a 80-year old Emmitt is the only one who can get into the end zone, you're basically looking forward to another high draft pick.
CLEVELAND AT DALLAS - GO BROWNS!! The only things I've heard from Baltimore after last week's game are crickets chirping. The Browns shut up and nearly shutout Ray Lewis, Deion, and the Ravens, winning with a score of 20-3. This brings us to this week's game. Tuna casserole anyone? Vinny threw for 355 yards in a losing effort. I didn't know the practice throws before the game counted. How do you throw for nearly 400 yards with only 1 TD and still get blown out? The 'Boys will drop another game this week.
BUFFALO AT OAKLAND - Goal line defense!! If they had one, the Raiders could have beaten the Steelers last week. Fortunately, the Bills have seemingly become allergic to the end zone. Buffalo played very lackadaisical against a lowly Jacksonville last week. Bledsoe, Henry, and McGahee need to bring their 'A' game if they want to beat the Raiders.
NEW YORK JETS AT SAN DIEGO - I guess Curtis Martin reads my column for inspiration. He went berserk on Cincy's defense with over 200 yards of total offense. As long as he can keep that up this week, Jets should take this one easily. Chargers lucked up against the Texans last week. Pennington will find the holes in this Swiss cheese defense.
MIAMI AT CINCINNATI - Sticking with Fiedler over Feeley might not be the best idea. If Feeley starts, Dolphins will instantly become the favorite to win this game. Travis Minor and newly acquired RB Gordon both failed to produce last week. Marvin Lewis will make adjustments to his defense to control the run.
MINNESOTA AT PHILADELPHIA - Whoa! This is a tough one. Both teams had a great Week 1. I have to go with Philly. Even though both teams are offensive juggernauts, Philly tends to have a more rounded style of play.
