Week 7

St. Louis at Miami - I know Dan Marino must be turning over in his grave. Oh wait, he's not dead yet, but these Dolphins are practically floating to the top of the water on their backs. At 0-6, and currently the only winless team, this has to be the worst Dolphins team ever. The Rams have an easy one here. The Dolphins are overpaid underachievers.

Tennessee at Minnesota - Injuries are taking their toll on the Titans once again. A bruised sternum may keep McNair out of this game. RB Brown's shoulder is bothering him. What does that have to do with your legs? Tape the ball in your hands and run. Culpepper had another 5 TD game last week. He may be without Moss this week, but look for Burleson and Robinson to take up the slack.

Detroit at NY Giants - The Lions are starting to come back to reality. Last week, The Lions looked pitiful. It's a sad day when your leading rusher is your QB with 12 yards. The Giants are coming into this game rested. At least one NY team will win this week.

Chicago at Tampa Bay - Switching Griese to starting QB was the best thing Chucky could have done. It probably saved his job. Even at 1-5, Griese has given this team a new confidence. Playing the Bears this week can only add to it. The Bears are desperate right now. Look for Craig Krenzel to take a few snaps within the next couple of weeks.

San Diego at Carolina - Schottenheimer has a new WR with the trade for Keenan McCardell. This can only help the Bolts. Let's just hope he actually plays now. The Panthers just didn't want to play Philly last week. That game was horrible. Coach Fox needs to rally his troops, if he has any left. The D-Line is dropping like flies. L.T. should have a breakout day.

Buffalo at Baltimore - Without Jail-Bird Jamal, Baltimore is going to have a long day. The defense will be on the field nearly the entire game. Kyle Boller's nickname should be "3-and-out." McGahee ran well last week. He might want Henry to take the bulk of the hits from this Ravens D. Dreadsoe will have a good day. He will throw a few picks though. That will be the only way the Ravens will score.

Philadelphia at Cleveland - GO BROWNS!! Eagles Shmeagles!! I understand they are 5-0, but who have they played? Their last 3 games were the Lions, Bears, and the Panthers. I believe the first two may have been high school girl lacrosse teams. Now they are playing a real team this week. Break out the grill! Barbecued Eagle is on the menu. We'll be flipping birds all day.

Jacksonville at Indianapolis - Last second heroics by Leftwich gave the Jags the win over the Chiefs last week. Jags have a lot more weapons to worry about trying to contain this week. Peyton and James will control the tempo of the game. Dungy's team will pick up where it left off.

Atlanta at Kansas City - The Falcons continue to find a way to win. At 5-1, The Falcons have everything working in their favor. KC is at the opposite end of the spectrum with a 1-4 record. KC needs to focus on beefing up the defense. Vick will have a monster game.

NY Jets at New England - Battle of the unbeaten teams. Herman has the Jets with its best start ever. The Pats are looking for their 21st consecutive win. I know a few Bostonians who are on a high right now, especially with the Red Sox winning. They'll have something to cheer about after this game too.

Seattle at Arizona - Seahawks will bounce back from a disappointing loss to the Pats. Seattle has added WR Jerry Rice to the mix. This could go either way. Adding a 60-year old receiver who runs a 5.9 40 is not necessarily a key pick up. But I guess at times, opposing DBs might be distracted by all of the vultures circling above Jerry just waiting for this old man to keel over.

Dallas at Green Bay - The Packers looked great against the Lions last week. Even with ailing receivers, I guess Favre quieted the critics once again. Dallas made a key trade during the week, trading Antonio Bryant to the Browns for Quincy Morgan. I feel sorry for the Green Bay secondary. They have to worry about KeyShawn, Glenn, and now Quincy. There is no way for Mike Sherman to prepare for this.

New Orleans at Oakland - Oakland only managed to score 3 points in the entire game last week. "Mama always said that Kerry Collins was like a box of chocolates. You just never know what you're going to get." But I can tell you what you can expect--another horrible outing. The Saints gave the Vikes a little scare last week. If the Raiders defense doesn't come to play, it's going to be a long day for Oakland fans.

Denver at Cincinnati - Upset of the week! Not the game, just the fact that I have to watch Cincy on MNF! Who picked this? Maybe the World Series will be on, and I won't be forced to watch this game. Maybe Chad Johnson should send me some Pepto so I can make it through this game. If the Broncos play as well as last week, the score will be 50-3 by halftime.

GAME OF THE WEEK: New York Jets vs. New England Patriots
