Super Bowl XL

Super Bowl Edition

Seattle at Pittsburgh – Technically, Seattle should have the home field advantage, but Texas A& M is trying to keep their 12th Man in Seattle. I hear FIX!!! We haven’t heard all this commotion about Seattle’s 12th Man all year long until they reached the Super Bowl. Geographically, The Motor City is closer to Spittsburgh than Seattle. Not to mention, this is a homecoming for Bettis. Plus, as Pittsburgh’s rookie RB Charlie Parker said: “Our fans are coming out from everywhere, out of the woodwork, from up under rocks, just everywhere.” I always suspected and believed that Squealers’ fans lived “under rocks”, now it has been confirmed. Actually, I’m a little tired of all of this SB XL hoopla prior to the game. All we see is the Steelers, who should be watching film on their opponents, running their mouth. I’ll admit Pittsburgh has a multitude of talent on the offensive side, but this will be countered by Seattle’s great defense. Shaun Alexander will have a huge day. The Steelers’ linebacker core is not 100%. Harrison, Foote, and Farrior are flirting with minor injuries. This opens up the game for Seattle. Pittsburgh’s 3-4 defense will have to make some adjustments. As of right now, that steel curtain looks more like a shower curtain. If their secondary has to cheat up just to help the linebackers to stop the run, Hasselbeck will exploit their weakness deep. This may be cliché but, DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!

So, I leave you with a few key points.

No one cares about the Pro Bowl. Gets some rest next Sunday.
No one cares about Arena League Football.
NFL Preseason starts in 6 months.
Draft day is right around the corner.
Come back after draft day to see how well your team made out in the draft.
According to Chinese New Year, this is The Year of The Dog. GO BROWNS!!!

See you all next year.
