Week 12

Indianapolis at Detroit – Turkey Day! This should be an interesting game if you like watching Indy run the score up again. Without Urlacher in the middle, Edgerrin James had a field day on the Bears. Detroit had the game won last week against the Vikes. They always manage to screw themselves in the last minutes of the game. I hope the football fans of these two teams know how to control themselves. The last time an Indy team was in Detroit, things didn’t end too well. No worries though, I heard Ron Artest sold his tickets to the game.

Chicago at Dallas – Can Dallas beat anyone? They were embarrassed by the Ravens last week. I think Krenzel will show out on his first Turkey Bowl. He’ll do anything to get a piece of the 8-legged turkey. QB Drew Henson will start for the ‘Boys. Has is come to this? It’s really pathetic when you have to replace a 50-year old, colorblind quarterback with a baseball player.

Tampa Bay at Carolina –RB Nick Goings must have remembered how to run last week. Even though it was only on Arizona, he had a monster day with 3 rushing scores. Maybe this is the wake up call the Panthers needed. Griese and Pittman have been playing well as of recent. Last week, they also had a big win against a lowly opponent. The Niners just refused to show up to that game.

Cleveland at Cincinnati – GO BROWNS!! I would say that this is battle of Ohio teams, but we all know Cinci-nasty is only a suburb of Kentucky. The Bengals gave the Steelers a scare last week. They always manage to screw something up. Garcia is listed as doubtful, so Kelly Holcomb may have the start. Browns will go 2-0 in this season’s matchup against Cincy.

Tennessee at Houston – McNair marked his comeback in a convincing fashion by leading his team over the Jags. Without RB Chris Brown, Antowain Smith had to step up to the plate. The Titans have too many banged up players. Even with the Titans at full strength, Houston defeated the Titans the first time they met this year. Look forward to a repeat performance.

San Diego at Kansas City – The Chargers’ big three helped them to improve to 7-3 with a win over Oakland last week. The Raiders had no answer for L.T. on the ground. Kansas City once again proved that out of 32 teams, they have the 35th worst defense in the NFL. They will not be able to stop this newly energized team.

Jacksonville at Minnesota – The Vikes just barely pulled it out over the Lions. Nate Burleson has really stepped in for the injured Moss. Moss is listed as probable this week. I’m sure this will not disrupt the flow of Minnesota’s offense. In fact, we might see another 5 TD day from Culpepper. Leftwich has not been ruled out this game. After Jacksonville’s implosion last week in the fourth quarter, I wouldn’t be surprised if Garrard is back on the bench this week.

Philadelphia at NY Giants – Ok, so Eli wasn’t sacked as many times as I predicted. That will change this week. The Giants actually protected him pretty well. This game will be the real NFL Blitz. Tiki can’t bail you out on every play. Philly destroyed the ‘Skins last week. Another division rival and another division win for the Eagles.

Washington at Pittsburgh – If Joe Gibbs gives up now, I heard his son will let him wash some of the cars at the racetrack on the weekends. I think the Fun-n-Gun was working better than this. Portis was held to 37 yards on 17 attempts. Is that what they paid for? I’m guessing no. I’m sure Spittsburgh has made a few adjustments since Plexi-glass Burress will not play with a busted hammy.

New Orleans at Atlanta – Alge Crumpler has seemingly become Vick’s favorite target. They hooked up twice for TDs last week and 3 times a week prior. Vick has returned back to his normal self, he led the team in rushing once again. The Saints forgot that a game lasts for 4 quarters and not only one. They seemed to only put points on the board in the 2nd quarter and that’s it. Deuce will need to step up his game this week if they want to beat Atlanta.

Baltimore at New England – The Ravens appeared to be a normal team last week. This is a little rare, only because defense wasn’t the only ones to score. They mainly lit up Dallas in the second half, winning 30-10. Jamal Lewis is out for the day. He’s probably finishing up some community service sentence or something. The Pats have to play the perfect game against this defense. The Pats defense will probably hold Boller to a multitude of 3-and-out situations.

NY Jets at Arizona – Shaun King – a blast from the past! Good news: He had 343 yards through the air. Bad news: With 3 INTs, I don’t know which team received the most credit for the yards through the air. I think this team shake up has backfired. Emmitt was held to 30 total all-purpose yards. Even with Quincy filling in for Pennington, the Jets have managed to keep most of their team chemistry. They had a few problems scoring last week against a monster Browns D, but should come back to form this week.

Miami at San Francisco – I refuse to watch this game! Both teams are presently 1-9. One team lost their coach, and the other team’s coach keeps finding his way back home. At least Miami put up a fight against the Seahawks last week. San Fran just probably forgot why they flew all the way to Tampa. Maybe they thought it was a pleasure trip. It should be a little different this week at home.

Buffalo at Seattle – Technically, Buffalo should win this game. Buffalo beat the Rams in a convincing matter last week. The Rams just seems to have the Seahawks number this year. If Team A (Rams) beats Team B (Seahawks), and Team C (Bills) beats Team A (Rams), then logically Team C should beat Team B. But, Dreadsoe always manages to screw something up. I’m predicting 3 INTs by halftime. McGahee averaged 5 yards a carry without a touchdown. He will need to step it up this week.

Oakland at Denver – What can I say about the Raiders that I haven’t already said? Every week they should get an ‘F’ for effort. I know a lot of Oakland fans, so I’ll be nice this week. RB Droughns had a huge day, including the first play from scrimmage which was a 51-yard TD run. There will be an interesting game in Mile High Stadium. For those Oakland fans, I hope they are showing a different game across the Jumbo-tron.

St. Louis at Green Bay – They are playing in Lambeau Field on MNF. I have one question: Is snow predicted in the forecast? If so, I’d hate to be Mike Martz this week. Usually when it snows on Monday night in Lambeau, the Cheeseheads go crazy. This brings a whole new dimension to the game. Especially, when they are playing against a team formerly known as “the greatest show on TURF.” The Rams were humiliated by the Bills last week. Nothing just seemed to work in their favor. Marshall was held to only 6 yards rushing.
